Move ahead, don’t be dead.
When you know you need to do something for the Lord and others, then don’t wait until you get funds or donations, start moving and “all these things will be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).
Move ahead with what the Lord has shown you and the rest will follow.
If we are not sure but feel that it could be the Lord urging us that we need to do a certain thing, then the following prayer will help.
“Dear Jesus, please guide me in this, I think this might be of you, so I will proceed as if possessing and go ahead with this and you will have to do the miracles of finances, changing hearts etc. However if for some unknown reason, it is not your will, then please put a stop to it. I ask that you do it gently so no one gets hurt, but for now I will proceed as if this is your highest will for me, and if it is not then I trust that you will block it.”
This makes it simple, as now we have given the responsibility, of what we are about to do, back to him. This can be anything from starting an orphanage to choosing a marriage partner, to buying a car, a house, or accepting a job.
Then if the Lord closes the door we should not be disappointed, but happy that he answered our prayer and kept us 
safe from unforeseen difficulties and trouble.
However many of us, who want to do something for the Lord and others, are frustrated, as we think that God has to first supply the funds in order to start on the project, but this is like putting the cart in front of the horse, as the ship has to be moving before the rudder can steer the ship.
The lepers were healed not before, but after they went, “As they went they were cleansed.”(Luke 17:14)
The disciples had to first roll the stone away, before the Lord could raise Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:38-44)
The excuse to do nothing:
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up on the wings of eagles.”
Many of us have used this verse as an excuse to do nothing. “I am waiting on the Lord.”
We fell asleep waiting on the Lord
On our eightieth birthday we still hang on to that verse, “I am waiting on the Lord.” However we are not waiting on the Lord, but the Lord is waiting on us to get moving, because he has already clearly asked us and given us specific commands, such as:
to forgive, (Matthew 6:12,14,15)
to love, (John 13:34,35)
to help and give to the poor (Proverbs 19:17, 21:13)
To feed the hungry (Matthew 25-45)
To clothe the naked
To visit the sick
To visit the prisoners
To tell others about him. (Mark 16:15)
